Sport All Sports

A good friend brought up to me that we should get Boston Red Sox. I told her it was a good idea ! They were a bit more expensive then we planned, but we talked it over for a while and ultimately decided it was worth it. Every season we always say we’re going to see them and then we never do because of the cost or the time. We always find some reason not to go. Recently we have been having some talks about different things, so I think that this has been our inspiration . Lately we’ve been having discussions about everything we want to do and this idea came near the top of our list. We are girls but we love baseball ! Needless to say, we’re both really psyched about it right now. We have both been in a rut lately, so this might be just what we need . We have been so caught up with school that it has been really really hard to get out and do fun things . One positive aspect of spending this much time inside studying is the fact that our grades have never been better . I can’t even count how many dates and get-togethers we’ve passed up already. Neither of us can wait until we get to go out again and meet other fans !
We were excited about seeing the Pittsburgh Steelers. We wanted to go and see them play in the playoffs, and what a great chance to go home again, too. We weren’t actually going to my home, we were going to Tara’s . Tara and her family were all from another city. She couldn’t wait to go home . She hadn’t been back in many, many years. By that time she was disgusted with the city. It didn’t offer her much opportunity for what she wanted to do . She has been away for about seven years, and only returned home three times, all for funerals . When her parents were alive, they would come visit her, knowing how much she disliked the city . I visited her hometown before I met her for business and hated it . Then I went again for work, and found that it was really a cool city. This was around the time that the Riverwalk was a hit . I’ve heard that it’s gone down a bit now, but I will see for myself. I think this is going to turn out to be a fun time . I suggested to Tara that Jim and Sue tag along if they agreed to it . I’m sure that they would love to go see a game, especially if it meant getting away from home for a while . Jim is a friend of mine, who is in my support group for diabetes.
Jim was jealous that we were going to the Los Angeles Dodgers tickets. I suggested that he look around for them, or ask some friends of ours if they can get him and his wife some tickets for the game, even though I knew it was highly unlikely . My friend gave me the tickets because there was a client emergency and there was no way that he could make it to the game . Jim asked his wife, who of course was ecstatic about the game . Tara called Sue and told her that she had gotten space a the hotel as well, but the air flights were full. Thankfully, one of Sue’s friends was a travel agent so she made a single phone call . Sue’s friend pulled through and got them on our flight . All four of us couldn’t have been more excited . I still had a few days to go at work, and so did Tara, and then we were off. In the meantime, we tracked the team and realized that they just might make it to the playoffs .
