Learning The Ropes With Skorpion Multi Terrain Skates

As an avid Kite Surfer I’ve been following with some interest the various blogs and vids of those European guys using Skorpion Multi Terrain roller skates for kite skating. I must say first I was a bit cynical thinking it was all a bit of a fad but it traction and risen in popularity. So last month I decided to go for it and get myself a pair of Skorpion Multi Terrain skates from the Skorpion web shop.

It has been ages since i’ve used skates and never really got into the roller blading scene. But these looked different – stable with a lower centre of gravity.

I’ve never been one for reading instructions so I just strapped them on and gave them a go as soon as i got them. I didn’t take long to learn how to manouvre them and surpisingly the turning action is very similar to skiing.

So getting the kite up with the skates took a bit of getting use to but nothing too tricky. I found myself a big space, plenty of grass and just a few people around. I can get out in all kinds of places but the best for me is the beach as the hard wet sand is the perfect base and you can really go fast and get some air.

At $149.99 i think that Skorpion Multi Terrain Skates are a good deal given the extra options they give for kite skating, and if your into your kite surfing then I’d definately recommend giving these a go.
