Preserve Sports Equipment : How much do you know about sporting equipment? Are you aware that some is cheap rubbish and some is built to last?

The cheap stuff is fine for young kids who will soon outgrow that new bat or racket you have bought for them, or for the adult beginner cutting their teeth in a new sport. But if you are half serious about your chosen sport then you will want to invest in some serious equipment.

One you have spent that money your first lesson should be to learn to preserve sports equipment.

If its a wooden bat you will probably need to oil it so that it does not crack. It also keeps it looking like a million dollars even with a few dents.

Keeping your sporting clean is also a good help as this will make it most fit for purpose and keep it looking good. Not to mention extending its life.

You have spent a lot of money on your new piece of equipment so why not look after it?
